Coral Fill is screened, clean earthen material with minimal organic matter. It is suited to filling low ground, returning material around excavations, and preparing the broad contours needed before later work.
Rain, not frost, drives the site decisions across Hawaii. Heavy red clay near the Koolau Range and Hamakua Coast can remain wet, while leeward volcanic soil or coral can drain much faster.
